Introduction

209-1 ESD Wrist Strap Monitor is a single-station online continuous monitoring instrument for ESD wrist straps. It monitors the grounding loop of one operator’s wrist strap in real time. When the wrist strap is disconnected, poor skin contact or ground failure occurs, the unit triggers audible and visual alarm within 0.1 second. It guarantees valid static dissipation in EPA workstations, prevents ESD damage to sensitive electronic components.

Usage Instructions

Mount the 209-1 monitor on ESD workbench, connect DC6V power adapter and reliable earth ground via alligator clip.
Plug one ESD wrist strap into the input port of monitor.
Operator must wear wrist strap tightly against skin. Green light stays on when grounding circuit is normal.
Red light and buzzer alarm will activate if wrist strap falls off, wire broken or poor skin contact. Stop work and troubleshoot immediately.
Regular function test: disconnect wrist strap to verify alarm works well for daily ESD audit.
