Introduction

209-II ESD Wrist Strap Monitor is a dual-channel online real-time monitoring device for ESD wrist straps. It independently monitors the grounding continuity of two operators’ wrist straps simultaneously. When any wrist strap is disconnected, has poor skin contact or ground path failure, the monitor triggers audible and visual alarm instantly. It ensures valid static dissipation at EPA workstations, prevents ESD damage to sensitive electronic components.

Features

• Two Independent Monitoring Channels Two separate circuits for two operators. Each channel has independent LED indicator, no cross interference.

• Separate Audible & Visual Alarm for Each Channel Green LED for normal condition; red LED plus buzzer alarm activates within 0.1 second when abnormality occurs. Operators can quickly identify which channel is faulty.

• Adjustable Alarm Resistance Threshold Default resistance range: 1.068MΩ ~ 2.0MΩ (±5%). Threshold can be customized according to factory ESD control specification.

• Anti-EMI Interference Circuit Built-in electromagnetic interference suppression circuit, effectively prevents false alarms caused by motors, soldering stations and other workshop equipment.

• Intelligent Microchip Control, Plug & Play No complicated calibration required after installation. Just connect power and ground wire to start working.

• Sturdy Metal Housing with Mounting Tabs Grey metal casing, durable and easy to mount on workbench or wall. Standard accessories include DC6V power adapter and ground alligator clip.

• Short Alarm Response Time Response time ≤0.1s, fast warning for operators to stop production and troubleshoot grounding issues.

Usage Instructions

Fix the 209-II monitor on ESD workbench. Connect DC6V power adapter and connect ground clip to reliable earth ground.
Insert two ESD wrist straps into Channel 1 and Channel 2 ports respectively.
Two operators wear wrist straps tightly against skin. The corresponding green LED lights up when grounding loop is normal.
If one wrist strap falls off, wire breaks or skin contact is poor, that channel will light red LED and sound buzzer. Stop operation and check immediately.
Perform regular function test: unplug each wrist strap one by one to verify alarm function for daily ESD audit.
