ESD Ground Wire

Introduction

ESD Grounding Wire is a dedicated static dissipative grounding cable for ESD Protected Areas (EPA). It connects ESD workbench mats, ESD floor, ESD monitors and other anti-static equipment to reliable earth ground. It builds a stable static discharge path to safely guide accumulated static charge to ground, eliminating static buildup and preventing ESD damage to sensitive electronic components. This grounding assembly is essential for establishing a compliant ESD control system.

Usage Instructions

  1. Connect one end of ESD grounding wire to ESD mat / ESD monitor / ESD equipment.
  2. Attach the other end to a verified reliable earth ground point or ESD ground socket.
  3. Ensure all terminals are tightly fastened; loose connections will break the static discharge path.
  4. Check the grounding wire periodically. Replace immediately if insulation is cracked, wire is broken or terminals loose.
  5. When multiple ESD items are grounded, use star-point grounding method to avoid ground potential difference.
